As everyone knows, Cartagena de Indias, UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE has been strengthening its hotel and complementary touristic services infrastructure to offer nationally and internationally a competitive product for celebration of congress and conventions as well as for general tourism. This is the first and until now the only private association of this type in Colombia, non self profiting, as in the most important cities in the world. It was created August first of 1997 as an initiative of the most important companies bonded to tourism and conventions in the city.

Its members are classified in: Founding Partners, Affiliates, Guests and Sponsors. In the first two categories are all the services related with the touristic activities and make part: Associations, Cartagena´s Convention Center, Hotels, Travel Agencies, Airlines and Transportation Companies among others.

Because of the private character of this association, the guest members are the Mayor´s Office and the Chamber of Commerce.
