The Cartagena de Indias Convention Center has an electrical capacity
of up to 3000KVA with a grounded net system, thus it is able to
attend any special need in electric installations, 460V / 208V /
115V with grounded outlets although the standard electrical connection
is the american with 110V / 60 Hz illustrated as follows
The Center also counts with a digital phone plant with three E1
of 30 digital trunk lines each and a capacity of up to 240 internal
extensions programmed with abreviated numbers to the most important
places in the city. TELECOM, the telecommunications company in the
city has installed an optic fiber node which guarantees the efficiency
and speed of telecommunication services. Also has a telephonic strip
which may be enlarged by the local phone company ,TELECARTAGENA,
according to the event´s needs. For this it internally has
enough pairs for the area to meet the customer´s demand for
internal extensions, local, national or international long distance,
or fax, wherever needed within the center.
The
simultaneous translation equipment at the Cartagena de Indias Convention
Center are Phillips and are distributed in the following way:

The
total amount of receptors is 900 units but the Center is capable
of getting 1.000 additional units with companies that work with
compatible equipment.
LIGHTS
The Barahona Rooms have special bars on the ceiling allowing the
placement of lights directed to the room. Additionally it has white
mercury and halogen lights which may be dimmed through dimmers controlled
by a manual control board.
The
Getsemani Auditorium, being a theater has a complete lighting system

In
the building there is a cable network for closed circuit TV which
allows to observe at any place of the center what is happening during
the conference. Plus it may be done with the number of cameras or
video systems prefered by the client.

In case of electric failiure the center has two automatic emergency
