GENERAL INFORMATION

Location
Rafael Nuñez International Airport is located within Cartagena de Indias urban boundaries, which allows easy access from any city locality.

Terminal
The passenger´s terminal is a modern and air conditioned building, offering in addition all required services for a comfortable soujourn for those in transit, such as: restaurants, shops, cafeterias, terraces and other services.

Runway
At 2,600 mt. from sea level, it adjusts perfectly well to modern transatlantic airplane operational requirements. All needed services are available: catering service company, fuel supply and appropriate handling. The Cartagena de Indias International Airport has a capacity to hold eleven airplanes in its platform and an open skies disposition for charter flights. Any world airline is welcome and will receive all possible assistance of any type to operate in this airport.

Transfering into the city
For transfers into the city a taxi service is available at any hour, as well as hoPhone and travel agency shuttle buses. Estimated value for a cab drive is 4 Euros or US dollars. Cartagena is located south of the Caribbean, at one hour flight from Bogota, two from Miami, one from Panama, one from Caracas and two from San Jose or Havana. It is also connected through regional airlines, with other touristic cities in the area, such as Santa Marta (The Lost City, Tayrona Park), San Andres Island, Valledupar, Monteria, Capurgana and Medellin. To all these cities and to some others within the zone, there are direct connecting flights, thus, favouring the access to the most charismatic and representative city of the American Spanish Colonization with espectacular monuments, as well as paradisiacal beaches, amusement possibilities, party parlors, casinos or a convention center that holds numerous events and meetings.
